LIFE'S QUESTIONS

My son was four years old
When he asked me of life's domain
Why do daddy's go away?
Are all cities all the same?
Why are days called days?
Why can't the sun be at night?
Why does the rain fall?
And why do people fight?
His little eyes grew big
As I truthfully explained
Mommies know a lot of things
But there are some to name
Life is a big test
No answer is correct
Everyone is different from the rest
Innocence of children
Smiles that shine
Questions go unanswered
Until another time
Don't let them grow to fast
Let them ask away
Tell of the past
But encourage them to pray.
